27 Aug Clap Clap Miami
I remember being a tourist in Miami for the first time. If only I had known the best places that not only tourists visit, but where locals usually love to hang around. Being that I’ve lived here for over a year now, I can definitely feel myself becoming one of the locals. There are so many places that I’ve discovered in Miami and it’s only the beginning.
Let’s start at the top. These are the 5 top places you need to visit your first time to Miami.
Wynwood Art District
A colorful and diverse neighborhood that was once full of empty warehouses became one of the most top Graffiti areas in the US along with other cities: NYC, LA, and Philadelphia. It is truly the electric urban core of Miami’s art community. It is drowned in murals created by many artists and served as an inspiration to the rest of the world. Filled with great eclectic bars, restaurants, and eateries, you will get lost in the creative adventures Wynwood has to show you.
Big Pinks South Beach
South Florida isn’t much for Diners but Big Pinks knocks that problem out with their impressive and wide variety of choices on their menu. Their prices aren’t that expensive when it comes to how much bang you get for your buck. Huge portions, and caring, fast service, with late-night hours – Big Pinks is one of the best late night, early morning spots in Miami.
Ted’s Hideaway
The best dive bar located also in South Beach, right behind Big Pinks, is Ted’s Hideaway. A local’s home away from home and for those sports fans and anyone who wants to get a late night bite to eat with drinks as well. They have an incredible staff and beer selection for some great prices. It’s one of the best bars to go to when you’re a tourist who wants to fit in among the locals.
The Broken Shaker at Freehand
Located in Miami Beach at Freehand, a historic and socially cultivated hostel for everyone, is the Broken Shaker. Now if you want good drinks and cocktails with a green backyard atmosphere that is turned into a chill and hipster vibes all around from day until night and so on. You can sit by the pool and sip drinks all day long while meeting new and exciting people from everywhere and anywhere.
Lagniappe
What was once a huge backyard is now one of the cities best outside backyard patio where you can enjoy an elegant night of live jazz, a variety of the best wine selection in the US and craft beers along with your own chosen assorted cheeses paired with bread, olives, and delicious jam. Perfect for drinks after dinner or a simple Tuesday night out with your honey or friends.
