Children’s Poem and Haiku

Haikus

Moody
Would you talk to me?
If I were bittersweet,
without a cause.

Grow up
Do you yell a lot?
And annoy everyone
it’s time to grow

Poem

Accept

There are a lot of people in the world,
Many of them waiting to be unfurled,
Tall and skinny, or short and chubby,
There’s more to people than just looks.

If you choose to look, you may write many books,
Talk about things that know no bounds,
There is nothing unsound about a person till they jump off their mounds,
Careful for their loins are perched up like lions on a crown,
They will shake and quiver,
For when they find your inquisitive demeanor moves like a river.

This would be the moment that defines you,
Would you comfort, or make them rue?
