Lexus: Stunned

The Lexus Christmas commercial titled “Stunned” starts with a kid asking “this is for me?”, then cuts to him dancing, and then back to the previous scene where he asks: “for real?” Then it goes back to him dancing and then he says “Noooo…” in disbelief. Then it shows the kid dancing all around the car, looking inside excitedly. Suddenly a mom and her daughter come out of the house and the woman says “Happy?” and the kid transforms into an adult, which we assume is the father of the family. He screams happily and then a narrating voice says “Nothing brings out your inner child like the holidays. Experience the excitement of the Lexus December to Remember Sales Event. Experience Amazing, at your Lexus dealer”

The Honey Baked Ad Company: Kelly Baked

The The Honey Baked Ad Company commercial shows a woman cooking a ham. The narrator repeats over and over that Kelly has two choices: a Honey Baked Ham or a Kelly Baked ham. As he repeats her choices, she is shown first pondering what to do, then looking at a recipe online as she decides to make a ham from scratch, then making a mess in the kitchen, getting everything dirty, until the moment she burns the ham and cuts it with an electric saw. The narrator says: “nobody wants a Kelly Baked ham, not even Kelly.”

NHTSA: No Big Deal

This commercial by NHTSA is shot in “bullet-time” fashion and shows the scene after a car accident caused by a drunk driver. It starts by showing a policeman, then the firefighters putting out a car that’s on fire, then an ambulance with a hurt person in a stretcher. Finally, the camera shows the police car with drunk driver that was arrested in the back. It zooms into his face and he has a shocked, traumatized look. While all that happens, the narrator says: “You knew the risks when you decided to drive drunk. There could be a crash, people could get hurt, or killed. You could get arrested, but one thing’s for sure: you were wrong when you said it was no big deal.”
