Poem / Haiku- Love

Haiku 1

He stared at her
She whispered sweet nothings
They’re carefree

Haiku 2
He cared enough
To carry her shopping bag
But he’s just a tag

POEM

With no care of the world, they were on a roll,
who’d have thought dinner dates would take took a toll.
She got a little plump,
He held her back from being glum.
She called it a waist of time, endless.
He said there’s just more to caress.

It was to be a short-lived sweet symphony,
For distance was their destiny.
They say distance makes the heart grow fonder,
All they could think was ‘How much longer!’
Living in the opposite ends of the world,
With nothing but words to fill the void,
Emotionless texts only made them collide.
For the twin flames, it was time to face it,
Left with the question to make it or break it.
He chose to shake it, and packed his bags,
And said, there’s no more time to wonder in whether,
Let’s waist some time together.
